My name is Giovanni Bassano and I am a professional singer/guitarist/songwriter.
I was born in in Italy in September 1982 and lived there until July 2006. Then I've finally started my travelling experience, I wanted to travel the world, living a big adventure and see as many places as possible. So I became a busker spending years around Europe, starting in Ireland, performing in the streets of Dublin (Grafton St.), passing through Amsterdam (Dam Square, Leidseplein), Copenhagen (Stroget), Helsinki, Prague (old town square), Glasgow, Edinburgh, Berlin, Dortmund and many other cities.
In 2008/09 I also went to US, playing in the streets of Santa Monica, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In these years I've also had the pleasure of participating in some great festivals, including T in the Park (Scotland), the fringe festival (Edinburgh, Scotland), Glastonbury (England), Villa Iluminada (Atlixco, Mexico) and lately Bardentreffen (Nürnberg) and Stramu (Würzburg).
In 2012 I recorded my first collection of acoustic cover songs that I usually perform during my
shows. Since then many thousands of copies have been sold all over the world, or at least in the 35
countries that I vistited.
After wandering around for many years I finally setteld in Switzerland due to the many booking requests I got. Currently I live in Zurich and perform most of my shows in and around Switzerland.
Between 2016 and 2017 I worked on my debut album called The things I never told you which are all my own compositions. The album was inspired by an incredible trip to Thailand, a truly romantic and intense escape on the other side of the world.
Currently I have a lot of requests for shows and I'm busy travelling around. I'm looking forward to all the upcoming shows. And I'm planning to start working on a new album by the end of the season.
I'm available to play and sing at corporate parties/events, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, X-mas or charity events.
Every event is different and each customers has his or her own ideas and whishes . ThereforeI can't present you a fix offer. If you have something in mind that you don't see, do not hesitate to contact me. I'm sure we can work something out.
If you made it to here, you already know a few things about me. But what kind of music do I make? Of course it's not easy to describe it and if you heard me playing on the streets, you might be surprised that my second album is not an "acoustic" one as my first record was. Below you find a few samples of what I do.
If you like what you hear, consider buying one, or even better, both albums. I know that in todays world only few people buy records anymore and that everything must be free and can be copied and be shared with anybody. Truth is that I have to make a living and selling records is important. Only be selling I have the chance to produce another album. So if you like what you hear, get old fashioned and buy your own copy. Thanks.
